From lawns and landscapes to vegetable gardens and small orchards, horticulture is the area of agriculture accessible to all! Here in Tennessee, our Extension team has been seeing increasing interest in these plant topics and engaging with many new audiences. We are welcoming new residents who are relocating to the great state of Tennessee. Plus, a new generation of homeowners is getting interested in horticulture as they learn to manage their first garden, lawn, landscape, or raised beds/containers at their very own home. It is truly an exciting time in Tennessee horticulture, and our consumer horticulture team wants to serve these new audiences in modern and practical ways.

New for 2023, there will be a brand-new Extension publication called “Welcome Home: Gardening in Tennessee”.
